I want to just let people know about my experience working with Happily Ever After Events Inc in Oakville, ON.
I contacted the company to rent some chandeliers and chalkboards for my wedding and was eagerly assisted. I went to visit the showroom and put down a $100 cash deposit for the order. After paying the deposit it was very difficult to get ahold of anyone to discuss my rentals, remaining balance and generally be reassured that I was going to be able to pick the rentals up when I needed to. I emailed multiple times to get information but did not receive emails back. I called a few times and was able to get ahold of the owner. She would talk nicely with me on the phone and say that she would email me what I needed (i.e., pictures of rentals or invoices) but never followed through.
Just a day or two before I went down to Oakville to pick up the rentals and about 1 week before the wedding I was told that the chalkboards I had reserved were not going to be ready to be picked up when scheduled. I lived more than an hour away and only had the one opportunity to drive down. I was told that the chalkboards would be shipped to me for the Wednesday before the wedding and to just come down and pick up the chandelier. I did that and paid for everything when I picked up the chandelier. On Wednesday there were no chalkboards delivered and I needed to come up with a new seating chart idea just three days before my wedding. To top it off, I never received a refund for the money that I paid for the chalkboards. I called multiple times to remind the owner and she continually told me that her accountant would email transfer it to me that week. I have not yet received the money, it is now October and my wedding was in August.
I had an awful experience working with Happily Ever After Events Inc. I attempted to write a review on the wedding wire but Happily Ever After Events Inc disputed that I ever worked with them. I was asked to provide a receipt to prove my post. The problem is this company does everything in cash and I did not receive the invoice that I was told would be emailed to me so I could not back up the review. I encountered a great deal of stress in the weeks before my wedding working with this company. I would not recommend their services to anyone.
I feel your pain,
ReplyDeleteI also had a horrible experience with them where they only did about 60% of the things they were supposed to do and were really rude to my family the day of the event.
They have gone and somehow deleted all of my reviews on the my vendor review websites which I belonged to claiming that I did not have a contract with them, so they removed my review......
Watch out ladies, dealing with this company means lots of and lots of drama. Stay far away.
Below is my review:
This company showed up late to my event by 3 hours causing my other vendors to charge me more money. They only did about half or 60% of the things they said they would do and did not refund me any of the difference. For example: I used them primarily because they said they had 20 trees to put around the inside of my venue which had concrete walls. They showed up with 4 and my walls were bare, which was exactly what I did not want. Also, after the wedding was finished they took many things which did not belong to them. Further to all of this.... They recommended their wedding planner Danielle Diab who was completely incompetent and did not know how to run a wedding if her life depended on it. Total rip off. I did not want to pay her wedding coordinator as she did not fulfill even 25% of her contract. In retaliation, they started calling people from my wedding and harassing and threatening them, and basically created a lot of drama. Stay away from this company as they lie, lie, lie. They speak a good game and sell you your own dreams. But when it comes to the day, they do not deliver and then it is too late as there is nothing you can do about it.
I three also understand I was also ripped off by HAPPILY EVER AFTER EVENY INC. On September 22, 2013 at BALLS FALLS, We had rented many things for the wedding and we only got 10% of our item's We had to take her to SMALL CLAIMS COURT because she refused to pay us for the service that NEVER happened!! She is such a disgrace to working women! We won our small claims but she refuses to pay us and she also so has 3 other claims against her in 2008,2009,2011 and me 2012! DO NOT TRUST HER SHE WILL SCREW YOU!!!!

DeleteAs l read this it makes me angry as l have a small business as a wedding planner and we do make our own line of edible favors as well. I am so sorry ladies that you had to have such an awful experience, weddings are stressful and we all know brides want a perfect wedding it's awful when some work so hard go the extra mile and others have no care in the world.
ReplyDeleteFrom oneweddingplan.com sorry to hear how you were all treated
I feel for you...
ReplyDeleteI used Happily EVER After Events INC for my daughter's welcoming party. Anneliese Banninger, the owner did not deliver half of the items that were agreed upon in writing and promised. We were promised her whole vintage collection for the decore of the event which included: - 8 KEG Barrels and Planks
- White Wash/Gold Door
- 6 Benches – Outdoors
- 10 Pillows for Hay Bales
- 2 Lounge Vintage Sofa
- 60 Wooden Chairs
- 1 Photo wall with frames
- Chalkboards for Food and Refreshment Tables
- 4+ Burlap runners
- 4+ Lace runners
- 4 Galvinized Silver Buckets
- 2 Gold Wrought Iron Chairs
- 4 Glass Juice/Water Dispensers
- 6 Drapes for Entrance/Front6 Pitchers Vintage in ,.
Half of the stuff did not make it to the event.
Just to name a few other issues, she was two and a half hours late. She did not deliver our 60 chairs and tables! Our guests had to sit on park benches, which we, the clients, had to move! In fact we were moving and decorating much faster than her and her team, which was supposed to be 6 people but was only 2 people walking casually around the venue and with no sense of urgency.
Her service is unreliable and she is dishonest. She lied to my family and to our event planner when asked about the rest of the stuff. She embarrassed us in front of our guests. We asked her not to post any images from our event on her facebook page as this is false advertisement to the actual services she offers, which are not much. She does not have our permission to post images from our event to promote her faulty business. Her, posting these images against our wishes- exemplifies her level of unprofessionalism and inconsideration to her client's wishes.
She did not even apologize to the inconveniences and stress she caused us.
Let this be a warning to all her prospective clients.
I have all documentations to support this complaint.
please contact me we need to talk ...enough is enough with this lady. you can find the group on facebook as well which will gather all her victims. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Happily-Ever-After-Events-INC-SCAM-ALERT/243867225762134?ref=hl
DeleteI am so glad i came upon these reviews, I was planning on renting a few pieces for my 10 year wedding anniversary. It is very unfortunate that this had to happen on such an eventful day for many of you. Has anyone made a complaint against them to the better business bureau? Just curious.
ReplyDeleteS.S.
I have posted my POSTIVE review for everyone to see the positive experience I had working with this amazing company.
ReplyDeleteHere is our review we sent them:
It was our pleasure to work with you and the team!! we appreciate you dropping everything and helping us on such short notice, your decor matched my vision perfectly, I couldn't have been happier our day was magical and we owe a lot of that to Happily Ever After Events!
You must either be an employee of this company or a friend/family member because all the reviews on the multiple websites are drastically different from what you say. In either case, I feel bad for you sticking up for a fraud artist!
DeleteI rented items for my wedding in July. I gave a deposit of ~30% when I met with her. It then took me a week to receive an invoice for the amount that I paid and then when I wanted to make some changes to my order, she was not responsive at all. She either did not respond or promised to send me invoices and never followed through. 3 weeks before the wedding, I contacted her to pick up my items. She said she would arrange for someone to be there so that I could pick up the items. She said she would send me an email with my balance outstanding and the contact information and location for pick up. This all sounded great but I never received the email. A week later, I called her to follow up and she said she would send me all the information in "20 minutes". 2 hours later, I still didn't receive anything and we called back. She told us to come the next day to pick everything up and thank goodness we were able to do so on such short notice. After driving 1 hour to Oakville, she told me she didn't have all the jars I ordered (we were missing over 50 jars) but she said she would deliver them to our venue on our wedding day. I trusted her and paid her the full amount for all the items including the yet to be delivered jars in cash.
ReplyDeleteOn our wedding day, my coordinator told me she couldn't find the jars that were supposed to be delivered by Anneliese. She called her many times but no one picked up and the voicemail was full. She and the waiters searched high and low at my venue and could not locate them. We had to improvise last minute and find other items to use. I called Anneliese after the wedding and she said that she had a delivery slip that said the items were delivered to my venue and a person named "Mark" signed off on the delivery at 11:30am. I emailed my venue and the coordinator said no one by the name of Mark was on their payroll. I called Anneliese again and she said "Oh, I have a slip that it was delivered to the street of my venue but maybe not the venue itself - it could have been somewhere else". I then got an email from her saying they "recovered the jars" but I have yet to see the "signed delivery slip", speak to "Mark", or hear about where they allegedly picked the jars up from. She couldn't tell me where they were dropped off at but somehow have the jars back in her possession. My guess is that she never had the quantity of jars I ordered in the first place but charged me for them anyway and never had any intention of delivering them. Again, this is only my best guess at what happened. We will never know the truth at this point.
I then told her I wasn't delivering the other rental items back to her since she failed to live up to her end of the bargain and she accused me of using the undelivered jars as an "excuse" for not returning the items. Actually, it is the exact reason. She said she would refund me for the jars but wasn't going to send a crew out to pick up the items. To this day, I have yet to see a refund.
please contact me we need to talk ...enough is enough with this lady. you can find the group on facebook as well which will gather all her victims. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Happily-Ever-After-Events-INC-SCAM-ALERT/243867225762134?ref=hl
DeleteI emailed her after our conversation saying that if she wanted her items back she would have to come to pick them up and I also expect my refund back for the jars. Any reputable company that knows how to run a business would be apologetic and offer to refund the entire amount. In this case, I have also yet to hear any sort of apology from her.
ReplyDeleteIn the midst of this, I wrote a review on Yelp which has since been taken down. In her response to my email, she threatened me with legal action if I did not take my reviews down. We set a date to meet to transfer the items back to her and I expressed that I expected my refund. When we met yesterday, she did not have the money with her and I refused to give her back the items. She physically opened my car door and tried to forcefully take the items back. I slammed the car shut and asked her not to touch my car. I also informed her that she is trespassing and asked her to leave. She stood in front of my car and would not let me leave. She then proceeded to call the police to report her items "stolen". She clearly has no grasp of the law since this is entirely a civil matter at this point and the police (a) were not coming any time soon and (b) once they got here they wouldn't be able to do anything about it.
I have much more to say about my story but I have reached a word limit. I have all documentation and witnesses to substantiate my claims.
We waited with her for the police to arrive but after an hour, my husband and I decided that despite our rage, it wasn't worth it and that I couldn't waste my time any longer. We offered to give her the items back without the money. She asked us to drive it towards her because the police told her to get off our private property and so we did. She asked us to unload everything and put it on the curb but we refused and insisted she move it herself. She then asked me to call the police to tell them they no longer needed to come. Yes, you read that right. She called the police on us then asked us to call them back to tell them that they no longer needed to come. She then said we would be receiving a letter from her lawyer offering to give us our refund for the undelivered items if we agreed to take no further legal action against her and to remove all negative reviews of her company. Since we never received the letter like we were promised (no surprise there), I can share this with you. Even if we had received such a letter, there is no way I am relinquishing my right to sue her for damages or my right to free speech. Everything contained in this post about my story is true and does not constitute libel or defamation. Any censorship will be regarded and treated as a infringement of my Charter right. Good luck, Anneliese - I hope to keep you on your toes at least for the next two years during which the limitation period on my right to sue you runs.
ReplyDeletei get that you want to give up but that is the reason why she keeps getting away with this...destroying a persons big day is unacceptable. We are a company in oakville and she did the same thing to us. I felt really bad for Jessie Denine ...showing up to your wedding and to have no decorations and $3000 gone. This isn't ok with me. For me its all based on principal now. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Happily-Ever-After-Events-INC-SCAM-ALERT/243867225762134?ref=hl
DeleteFACT JESSIE DENINE paid around 1100 for decor
DeleteFACT 3 beautiful antique crystal chandeliers were hung in the barn, additional decor was setup
- I don't think you know what an actual fact is -
DeleteFACT
ONE chandelier was hung, NOTHING else showed up.
You do not know how to count...I saw the photos. there were three chandeliers..one..two..three...FUNNY how you go from saying in your previous posts that NOTHING SHOWED up to now stating you had one chandelier....how about the truth CRAZY LADY!
DeleteYay they arrested her! Justice
DeleteIn regards to the review above I was wondering what will end first her marriage or her two year limitation...just saying....
ReplyDeleteYou are a idiot!
DeleteI felt it was necessary to tell all brides how wonderful it was to work with this terrific company. I read some reviews that were just negative and all I can say is how wrong all those haters were and they seriously need to get a life!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe staff were beyond helpful even during my bridezilla moment! The furniture they provided was stunning, elegant and unique, the decor accents gorgeous and the chandeliers were to die for!!! They had no easy task working with me as Im a self proclaimed perfectionist and they pulled it off with ease and grace...even when I asked them to move one of the chandeliers multiple times!!!!!
When I read their reviews it is so sad in this world when brides take crazy to a whole new level and take it out on a company that does not deserve the rap they were given. Yes small things may go wrong (we were missing a few votive candles and they were abit late) but is this enough to break a wedding..I dont think so. Overall my wedding was stunning, completed hours ahead of schedule and I was very happy with their services and their professional team!!
Wishing you guys all the best, I have recommended you to two of my friends who are getting married in 2014! Looking forward to your elegant creations at their weddings!!!
We are not HATERS we are simply telling you our stories! We are happy that you were happy but that is not what happen to us! We were ripped off! We won in small claims court and the Judge listened to our case and awarded all our money back! THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THAT WE MADE UP! Annelises Banninger still has not paid us she is in contempt of court and I will see her in jail before this is over!! I WILL NOT GIVE UP!

I have seen many post from the Denine's over the past year and all I can say IS CRAZY!!!!!! Seriously lady your wedding was last year are you so miserable in your marriage you have nothing better to do???? We HIGHLY RECOMMEND HAPPILY EVER AFTER EVENTS and have referred our friends to them, Garnet was a dream to work with as well as Annalisa! Here is our review that we posted for all to see:
ReplyDeleteAnnalisa and Garnet, thanks for the rentals it was amazing! Your staff did an amazing job designing and setting up our custom lemonade stand. It had the WOW factor that we were seeking! I would highly recommend this company they were so easy to work with, the setup team were professional, on time and had the work completed well before the first guest arrived.
Wishing you all the best, THANKS AGAIN!!!!!
Tris
Your a idiot talking about me!
DeleteThank you for being part of our big day. Words cannot express how talented, sweet, and kind Annelisa and her team are at Happily Ever After Inc. Our wedding decor was beyond what we had hoped for it was nothing sort of BREATH TAKING SPLENDOR!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour French Mirrors, Chalkboards, French Furniture and all the gold accessories added the Marie Antoinette look we were seeking! We LOVED your French gold leaf sweetheart table!!!! You ROCKED IT!!!!
Thank you so so much, the compliments are still coming in months after our wedding!!
Carm
I have nothing but amazing things to say about HAPPILY EVER AFTER EVENTS INC. The staff were polite, professional and very helpful. The delivery team went over and beyond on their arrival at the Distillery District even assisting with bringing in items from my bridesmaid's vehicle!
ReplyDeleteThe setup was completed as I requested and we received nothing but compliments all night. It truly reflected our style and personality, this company has many GREAT pieces and are not your standard cookie cutter decor which we loved.
Reading past negative reviews leads me to wonder how petty some brides can truly be over the smallest thing, GET OVER YOURSELVES! We LOVED OUR WEDDING DECOR and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND HAPPILY EVER AFTER EVENTS INC.
You must be related to Anneliese Banninger!
DeleteI just posted this on Yelp. Apparently they aren't the only one.
ReplyDeleteBE CAREFUL!
Anneliese is making the news up here in Barrie. She took the cash for a children's charity gala this past Saturday in Barrie and never showed up. This is a VERY high profile event in our community, and a VERY highly respected charity and she totally vanished with the money.
She apparently was supposed to show up on Friday, never showed, they even had a truck go to Oakville to pick up stuff at her house and she didn't show up. No phone calls were returned and she just vanished with the cash. They still can't get a hold of her.
Luckily the community came together and helped decorate the hall on Saturday and they pulled off a great night and raised lots of money for charity.
I'm not sure what the directors are going to do to follow up with her, but I hear one of the board members is a lawyer...
Thank God for things like Yelp so other people who are having weddings, or events don't have this happen to them if you do your own research on who you're dealing with.
To do something like this to a children's charity? Who does that????
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Happily-Ever-After-Events-INC-SCAM-ALERT/243867225762134?ref=hl Join and be part of the having this woman punished
DeleteI find it disappointing that people are telling reviewers to "get over themselves." These are real events and if something like this happened to you on your wedding day you would be outraged as well.
ReplyDeleteMany of us are trying to help future brides avoid the trouble that we went through. It's great that some of you had a good experience, obviously it is not consistent. Isn't it better for people to have all the facts before they decide to go with this company?
It's funny how all these positive reviews are also attacking the people who have serious issues with Anneliese...looks to me like it's an inside job ;)
ReplyDeletealso,
ReplyDeletescrew you TRIS S.
Anneliese screws us over for thousands of dollars on my wedding day and countless other honest people and that makes me a unhappy wife in her marriage and i have a mental disorder?? You're a tacky uneducated women.
We're doing the right thing and we're GOING to stop her and put her out of business

:)
Recently Happily Ever After moved locations, it seems people are looking for Anneliese due to her scamming people. I came across the location last week.
Delete521 North Service Rd E, Oakville (next to Soccer World, in same building as Penalta) hard to find, hidden away.
Hope this helps, that's horrible the experiences people have endured.
Thanks Ann
DeleteAnneliese Baninger and Happily Ever After Event Rentals IS A FRAUD!!!! She took off with my $500 deposit and left me without half of my decor items (including centerpieces) a day befor my wedding!!!!
ReplyDeleteI originally contacted the owner, Anneliese Baninger, at the beginning of June about renting a number of items for the wedding. I went out to Oakville to see their inventory and agreed to send her a deposit after liking what I saw. I email transferred her $500 (half of what my order was) even though she had insisted on $600. She said she would immediately send a copy of the updated invoice showing my paid deposit. She never did.
We had agreed that her team would deliver on the Wednesday August 27th, the week of my wedding instead of the Friday. I couldn't get in contact with her the week prior to confirm what time her delivery truck was arriving until finally at 11 am on Wednesday morning. She said that they were just picking up the last item in my order from downtown and then heading up to our venue in Hockley Valley. She said she would call back in one hour to confirm the delivery time for that afternoon. She never did. I made attempt after attempt the rest of that day to reach her. It either went straight to her voicemail or I got disconnected when ringing.
I even had my coordinator try from her work and personal numbers the entire next day as I suspected she wasn't picking up my calls because she recognized my number. No luck from any number or email that we tried.
It's now Friday morning and still no contact or confirmation of what time delivery is arriving. I called a family friend in Oakville to go by the warehouse to try and catch someone in person and the warehouse was empty! The store manager in the same building explained that he saw them load all of their items in large Uhaul trucks the day before and take off. He said that they are a fraud and are being investigated.
I went online to check recent reviews and they were all terrible. I had done my research before I agreed to rent from her and there were only a couple of bad ones, most were very good. So I was shocked to see that the exact same thing had happened to brides over the past few weeks.
http://www.yelp.ca/biz/happily-ever-after-events-inc-oakville-2 (dozens are now missing from this review, including 16 that were taken down by Yelp because the contents were too negative)
http://aboutaservice.blogspot.ca/2012/10/happily-ever-after-events-inc.html
Anyways, you can see that people are not happy and have been scammed in the same way.
Anneliese was never an easy person to catch on the phone and only returned my emails or calls after I sent her multiple requesting a response (about altering the order for example). When I finally did catch her, she would promise to send me pictures of items that I was interested in adding to my order and an updated invoice but she never followed through.
In the end, she never sent me a final invoice and the contract that she said she included in our first email was not actually attached when I went back to check. I was stupid and shouldn't have given her money before I had the contract signed by her. My lesson is learned.
I'm sure she has moved on to another town to set up shop and do the same thing to brides there. What an aweful human being. I'm still in shock that this happened because even though you know it's a possibility, I never would have thought it would actually happen to me. Karma doesn't forget though. And I hope she gets what she deserves. How dare she attempt to ruin a day that most girls only dream of and plan since they were little. Shame on her and everyone who worked for her!
Suzette Jeffers and Miss Jill are you both off your medication or so bored in your life that you have nothing better to do then start a witch hunt...shame on you both! Our wedding experience was wonderful with HAPPILY EVER AFTER EVENTS, the staff were so helpful and went over and beyond to make our day special. As a business owner myself I know the hardships of running a company including a company that expands so quickly and good help is hard to find...maybe you both should find real jobs...if anyone would hire such a bunch of crazies!!! I have had customers in my retail store that fit your description...try to make something of your lives instead of harping on the internet... THANK YOU again to HAPPILY EVER AFTER EVENTS we have already recommended you to several of our clients!!
ReplyDeleteMiss Jill here! Annelises just got arrested! Justice!!!
DeleteDo some research on Suzette Jeffers...the lady behind the campaign to bring this company down with attacks....very interesting upon investigating what we found on her...and her partners....Not everything you read on the internet or in malicious blogs are accurate, in fact there is only one side posted...there is two sides to every story....I certainly wish HAPPILY EVER AFTER EVENTS much luck with their liable suit against this horriable woman..Suzette Jeffers....Did you know she organizes fake clients to setup meetings with this company, fake drop off locations for products that are ordered for events that do not exist to name just a few....yes Suzette we are very aware of all of the games you are playing...Again your time will come in court where you will be judged for your wrongfully actions. Good Luck Happily Ever After Events, we are one of your many supporters!!
ReplyDeleteOhh just had a great idea..lets start a facebook site called SUZETTE JEFFERS ,Diary of a Crazy Woman...Im sure we can get alot of support for this!!!
ReplyDeleteIm in!! You forgot the other two..Jessie Duyn and Jill..please tell me they are being sued for liable as well....We need to think of a better name for the facebook site and include all three crazies!!!! What were the men thinking of marrying these woman...WOW..are they married??? I do not think they are all brides...
ReplyDeleteWe have won it court, we have NOTHING to hide and we are going to continue to push forward with this. Do you know why? It's not because we have nothing better to do OR that we're "off our meds" (which is a pretty sick thing to even say) It's because Anneliese Baninger and the company she owns SCAMMED us, on my wedding day of all days and countless other brides special days, scammed businesses, didn't pay rent on her house for an entire year, the list goes on.
ReplyDeleteYou can do all the research on us you want, you will not find a single thing. We'd like to think that we're pretty decent people.
I wonder why Anneliese Banninger started going by the name Lisa (Annalise) Weisner now? Couldn't be because SO many people are trying to find her because she is a horrid person that scams people for a living could it!?! NOOO, impossible....
*insert tired of your foolish and pathetic games face here*
Keep talking shit ladies! it's entertaining, really it is.
We've got the proof and 15+ people with the same stories behind us, we'll see who comes out on top.
P.s. usually people (15+ - with the same stories) don't waste their precious time and energy on going after good people. If she just did her job right, we wouldn't be here, or even if she made a mistake (we're all human, it's normal to make mistakes) like not showing up to my wedding but later apologized and gave us our money back..we wouldn't be here!! makes sense right?

Jessie Duyn is one crazy messed up chick!! Fake reviews....holding coffee club meetings plotting against this company...sending fake brides to their store...posting fake reviews...this woman needs serious help...fast...
ReplyDeleteHere is a copy of Jessie's invoice that was shown to us....lets see who the liar is now..Poor Jessie claims she paid 3000..wrong....she paid just a little over 1000..and she had a team show up and install her chandeliers I saw the rental contract for the machinery they used....here story keeps changing just like her mood swings...Here is a copy of her invoice I was given...

ReplyDeleteAnd putting up my home address? You better delete that or watch out.
I'm getting really tired of these fake ass people with fake names posting ridiculous things about people who have done NOTHING wrong...we were scammed for fuck sakes. Word of advice - Don't push me to the limit, it's getting real close.
Lets start with this review I found on their facebook site:

We're seriously thrilled with the awesome customer service we received from the team. We managed to fit almost our entire rental in the back of a Toyota Matrix (ask Anneleise for a pic). Everything was on time and done with a smile. Thanks for making our trade show a success!
Dear Miss Jessie
ReplyDeletePlease get your facts and information straight...if you read all the notes you have posted on this page you keep changing your story...the company did not show up..the company showed up with some of the stuff...and now you are posting more inaccurate information....arrest..really...did this have anything to do with her company or weddings..NO..it was for a cheque that did not clear.... THAT SHE PAID BACK well before any charges were laid...can you spell CASE DISMISSED!!!
Dear Anna is that the story she told you!!! We saw the cheque it was from her Ex husbands account and another from her childs account!
DeleteThe cheque we got that bounced was written from a closed account that was in her child's name, that isn't just a bounced cheque, that is fraud.
DeleteIt doesn't matter that she paid it back, you can't steal a car, then give it back and expect not to be charged.
The case isn't dismissed, the sentencing is October 8th in Milton.
Just wondering what ended up happening on October 8?
DeleteIt's unreal how long she's been doing this ... taking advantage of brides. Unreal.

ReplyDeleteThis woman is as unprofessional as they come. I organized and coordinated this year's Garrison Ball. I hired a very good friend to design the lounges which would be filled with 1940's furniture and props. To outfit such a large venue, my friend outsourced a number of items out to Happily Ever After Events Inc. She delivered 30% of the items and mid way through set up she left saying a second truck would be arriving momentarily with items that were crucial to the entire design. The truck never came. She never called or returned NUMEROUS messages. She turned up at the end of the event saying a truck broke down (after reading all of these reviews and reviews on other sites it seems this is a classic excuse for her!).
ReplyDeleteDuring tear down she then proceeded to take a vintage cosmetic case of mine that housed a number of pieces of donated antique jewellery that high profile guests wore. After police were called and she was finally tracked down she said she would return it the next day. After two phone calls the next day that she promised to return, I still did not have my hands on the precious jewellery. On the 3rd day I called her and left a stern message saying I expected the jewellery to be returned immediately. She called back saying she was getting annoyed at the hysterics that were going on. Because people are normally calm when valuable jewellery goes missing and the person who took it turns out to have had lawsuits taken against them and apparently has been arrested for fraud!!!
She finally returned the items, but not after numerous phone calls and threats. Her excuse for her tardiness was her daughter missed her bus back to school and then she got a flat tire! Obviously this woman is a pathological liar.
The items were finally returned, but not after numerous phone calls and threats.
We then proceeded to ask her when she would be repaying my friend for the items that never turned up. (My friend paid her in advance). She ignored our questions, proceeded to load her van of items she had left behind the previous Saturday and then took off.
This woman absolutely deserves to written up and have her business license revoked. Good people do not deserve to be treated like this. It absolutely breaks my heart to hear of all the brides that were taken advantage of and had their wedding days ruined.
How a person can do this and still hold her head up is beyond me.
She has just done this to me!!! Owes me at least $250. she has blocked me on Facebook. Has been ignoring my calls. She has left me hanging. She has blocked me from instagram. She FINALLY texted me and said she was busy and she would call later.... ...she was on instagram and facebook. THIS IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
